Your Will Be Done
I blog because I sometimes have thoughts that I sense God
wants me to share.
However, I am aware that I fall short of actually sharing my blog with
people. Yes, a few of my friends know that I blog, but I hesitate to put it out
there. In a way it is because I feel that I am already putting all of myself
out there by simply writing my words on this blog, so sharing it is a huge test of my willingness to be truly open.
That being said, I think this post will be different because I feel
that I need to tell as many people as I can about this singer, songwriter, worship leader,
faithful servant, and friend Justin Nanak.
I met Justin last year at a Life Teen Conference. Along with
seven other awesome people, we formed a great friendship. This group of friends
became my first experience of what it means to have Christ-centred
relationships, where you each seek to lead the other towards heaven.
I still remember in April of last year, when Justin told us
that he believed he was called to share his gift of music and glorify God
through it. Having had an inside look into the journey of creating his debut album,
I can truly say that Justin allowed himself to be fully led by God’s spirit.
The result of his openness to God’s will, is an album that elevates Christ, and
welcomes the listener into sincere love and adoration of Him. From his self-written
tracks (Battlefield, Falling, Chains, Angels, Set You Free, and Your Will Be Done) to the songs that he covers, Our Lord
is exalted in every beat. That is simply who Justin is, a servant of God
who seeks to use his voice to direct our hearts to Christ.
Seeing this album come to life, and seeing Justin truly live
out the words of his title track, “Your Will Be Done”, I have witnessed a
testimony to faithfulness in God’s plan. It has inspired me to be open and
trust in God in a more profound way. It challenges me to fall with freedom into God's hands and hold nothing back. So yes, I will write
what God calls me to write, and I will share it with others because doing
anything less, would be falling short of what He has called me to. This is
what listening to Justin's debut album has taught me.
If you are reading this, I ask you to support Justin and
purchase his album Your Will Be Done. It truly is a blessing, and testimony of God’s grace and
never-ending love. May it comfort and strengthen you as you let God’s will be
done in your own life.
P.S. I’ll be praying for you xx
